LSU players know that they will face difficult challenges in this Saturday’s battle of the Tigers.
“With Auburn being a top team in the country, every play is going to count, every inch is going to count, every second is going to count,” Junior Donte Jackson said. “We just got to come out there and play.”
Auburn, who is coming off a 44-23 win over Ole Miss, has a very efficient offense lead by sophomore quarterback Jerrett Stidham and junior running back Kerryon Johnson. LSU is going to have to work hard to stop their run game while still putting pressure on the quarterback.
“I still feel a sense of urgency to keep winning and get better,” senior Greg Gilmore said. “We always come in with a sense of confidence in every game, so it doesn’t matter who the opponent is.”
LSU hosts #10 Auburn this Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
