Ed Orgeron was Ole Miss’ head coach from 2005-2007, going 10-25 during those three years. Since then, Orgeron hasn’t been back in Oxford as a head coach.
At least until now.
Orgeron and his Tigers are playing in Oxford this Saturday when LSU takes on Ole Miss, marking the first time Orgeron will be back in Oxford as a head coach.
But Orgeron and his players don’t plan on letting that be a distraction.
“I don’t think it’s a big deal at all,” LSU QB Danny Etling said. “He was our coach last year when we played Ole Miss. With so much… turnover within the SEC all the time, you see coaches always going back to their old places.”
