Originally formed in 1999 near Atlanta, Black Lips have a wild reputation for their live shows. Go to a Black Lips concert, and you just might end up covered in vomit.
Remarkably, they are able to transfer some of that energy into their recordings, combining rock, blues, doo-wop and folk influences to produce a sound that distinguishes them from the multitude of bands trying to make it in the industry today.
Black Lips may be the embodiment of contemporary rock. Gone are the traditional labels of garage, punk and indie. Here is a band that does it all.
