You don’t have to be a kid to enjoy the fun and excitement of children’s museums. Fortunately, Knock Knock Children’s museum opened recently in the LSU area and if youre like me and enjoy feeling like a 12 year old kid again, you’ll love this place!
Knock Knock Children’s museum opened on August 22nd after a long awaited arrival. The museum is aimed to entertain while still educate children. However, LSU students are strongly encouraged to volunteer and join the team at Knock Knock.
“We have volunteer opportunites as well as paid part time employment. We have 18 learning zones within the museum and students can volunteer within one of those learning zones. If they are interested in volunteering they can sign up on our website where we do have a volunteer application or they can simply contact volunteer@knockknockmuseum. Org. They can also go on our Facebook page, which is Volunteer at Knock Knock,” Human Resources Manager Sonia Daniels said.
And for students looking to interact with kids, there is a position for you.
“We also have paid employment opportunities as well. We have two positions right now that we are hiring for. One of them is Playworker and that is a position where the employees are active in the museum on the floor engaging with kids and adults. We also have a guest services position in which employees work the ticket counters selling admissions and selling tickets,” Daniels said.
Knock Knock Children’s museum is open Tuesday through Sunday and is located at 1515 Dalrymple Dr. right by the LSU lakes.
