The Tigers moved up one spot to No. 11 in the Coaches poll, and remain at No. 12 in the AP poll.
LSU opens the season 2-0, and have outscored its opponents 72-10 in the first two games.
The Tigers are the second highest Southeastern Conference team, trailing Alabama who is ranked No. 1 in both polls. The next highest SEC team following LSU is Georgia, who is coming off of a 20-19 victory against Notre Dame in South Bend.
LSU travels to Starkville next weekend, opening SEC play against the unranked Mississippi State Bulldogs.
