The Tigers (2-1) fell 12 spots in the Coaches poll on Sunday to No. 23 after an ugly 37-7 loss to Mississippi State (3-0). In the AP poll, LSU came in at No. 25 to barely hang inside the rankings.
The Bulldogs moved into the rankings for the first time this season at No. 17 in the AP poll and No. 19 in the Coaches poll. The 30 point win marked the largest margin victory in school history over LSU.
LSU will return to Tiger Stadium next weekend to face Syracuse.
