Mass communication senior Laryssa Bonacquisti was crowned the 2017 Miss Louisiana on June 24 at the Monroe Civic Center in Monroe, Louisiana.
Mass communication senior Laryssa Bonacquisti placed in the Top 7 of the Miss America pageant Sunday night.
Bonacquisti was named Miss Louisiana 2017 in June, and traveled to Atlantic City, New Jersey, to compete for Miss America 2018.
Bonacquisti won the preliminary swimsuit competition and the preliminary talent competition. For her talent, Bonacquisti performed a ventriloquism act.
