LSUPD arrested non-University student Casen Maggio for aggravated battery related to a fight that occurred on the LSU Parade Ground prior to the Chattanooga game, according to the affidavit for arrest warrant.
On Sunday, a University student went to LSUPD to report an aggravated battery on the Parade Ground during gameday festivities on Saturday, according to the report. The student said he was attempting to break up a fight when an unknown male struck him in the face. The student lost consciousness and broke several facial bones, according to the report.
The student was transported to Our Lady of the Lake Hospital where doctors said he would need surgery, according to the affidavit.
Maggio is being booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison, according to LSU Media Relations.

LSUPD is currently investigating a fight that occurred at the LSU Parade Ground before the Chattanooga game Saturday afternoon LSU Media Relations confirmed.
