The weekend, LSU (2-0) will begin SEC play against Mississippi State (2-0). Playing in Starkville will be a new challenge for this young team.
“It’s always exciting going on the road and playing, especially an SEC opponent,” offensive lineman KJ Malone said. “I’m sure we’ll have a lot of cowbell sounds today at practice to get used to it.”
While some players are excited for the first road challenge, linebacker Devin White says this is nothing new.
“To me it’s just another game,” White said. “Obviously it’s an opponent that’s in our conference so it kinda means more with trying to get to the SEC championship. But it’s just another game, another opponent.”
“It’s very challenging,” said defensive back John Battle IV. “I would say it’s gonna be a challenge going to Starkville because they always play us tough, we always play them tough.”
“It’s going to be a good battle,” Battle chuckled.
Saturday’s game is scheduled for a 6 P.M. kickoff and is to be televised on ESPN.
