ATLANTA,GA- Friend of the Gruver family says Maxwell Gruver was a good role model that will be missed.
David Miller knew Maxwell Gruver for years and was shocked by his passing.
“Max Gruver grew up with my son. I knew his family through the church, school, and the Catholic Metro League of Atlanta Basketball League,” Miller said.
Miller said Gruver used to play basketball at school and later go on to coach while he was high school.
He was the youngest coach in the league.
According to Miller, Gruver’s death came as a shock to family and friends back home in his community.
“Max’s death has put a heavy heart on the people that knew him, the St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church and Blessed Trinity H. S. community,” Miller said.
Miller said that Gruver will be remembered as dependable , lovable guy.
