The Southeastern Conference coaches released their All-SEC choices on Wednesday.
Junior running back Derrius Guice and junior outside linebacker Arden Key were the only Tigers to make the first team. On Tuesday both players were listed as AP first-team All-Americans.
Guice and Key both ended last year as 2016 first-team All-SEC after record-breaking sophomore seasons.
Guice was also listed as the coaches second-team all purpose choice. Joining Guice on the second team were senior offensive tackle K.J. Malone, junior center Will Clapp and junior cornerback Donte Jackson.
Malone enters his second year as the Tigers’ starting left tackle, and Clapp has been moved to center to replace All-American Ethan Pocic.
Jackson enters his junior year as one of LSU’s most experienced players in the secondary. The “fastest man in college football” has three career interceptions.
The lone Tiger on the third team is fifth-year defensive lineman Christian LaCouture. LaCouture returned to LSU after missing his true senior season with a torn ACL. LaCouture was also given the honor of wearing No. 18 for the upcoming season.
