Junior running back Derrius Guice and junior outside linebacker Arden Key were named AP preseason All-Americans on Tuesday.
Both Guice and Key were named first-team All-Americans.
Guice led the Southeastern Conference in rushing last season with 1,387 yards and finished second in touchdowns with 15.
With Leonard Fournette gone, Guice is expected to predominantly carry the workload in LSU’s backfield. Guice will also featured more in the passing game under offensive coordinator Matt Canada.
The 5-foot-11, 218 pound tailback and Key were both selected as a first-team preseason All-SEC members during SEC Media Days in July.
Key was the lone front seven player from the SEC to be named an AP preseason All-American.
Key has been limited in fall camp due to shoulder surgery, and is not expected to play in the Tigers first game on September 2 against BYU in Houston.
The 6-foot-6, 265 pound linebacker set a school record with 12 sacks last season.
