Five-star power forward Naz Reid is making an unofficial visit to LSU this weekend with his mother according to multiple reports.
The 2018 prospect made his first trip to LSU back in July but is returning for the first time since. Reid has narrowed his decision between LSU and Arizona, but the unexpected visit could mean a decision is looming.
Jon Rothstein of FanRag reported on Saturday that Reid is “expected” to commit to the Tigers. Billy Embody of Tiger Blitz reported a commitment could be made as soon as this weekend.
Reid is currently the No.18 prospect on ESPN Top 100 list for 2018. Reid would join five-star guard Javonte Smart in the 2018 signing class.
Reid and Smart would be the second and third high-profile recruits to commit to LSU. In June, coach Will Wade was able to sign four-star guard Tremont Waters away from Georgetown.
