LSU wide receiver D.J. Chark announced that he will return for his senior season.
The Alexandria native announced his decision to return via twitter on Monday.
After entering his junior season with zero receptions, Chark emerged as go-to-receiver this year in LSU’s passing game hauling 29 passes for 466 yards and three touchdowns.
LSU also used Chark in the run game, primarily with jet sweeps. In 12 attempts, Chark rushed for 122 yards and scored two touchdowns.
Chark led the team with 17.9 yards per catch and his 80-yard reception against Southern Miss. is the longest reception by an LSU receiver this season.
LSU now awaits the decision of junior wide receiver Malachi Dupre, who has until Jan. 16th, which is the deadline to declare for the NFL.
