The LSU Lady Tigers basketball team defeated Missouri 80-71 on Thursday night at the PMAC.
LSU improved to a 14-3 record on the season, 3-1 in the Southeastern Conference.
Junior guard Raigyne Moncrief led LSU with 23 points. Many of Moncrief’s points were gained at the free throw line, where she shot a perfect 13 for 13. LSU shot 23 of 26 from the free throw line.
Along side Moncrief, sophomore guard Chloe Jackson scored 20 points and senior guard Rina Hill scored 12 points. The team shot 49.1 percent from the field to spark them to victory
Despite shooting 61.4 percent from the field and 54.5 percent from the 3-point line, Missouri gave up 49 points in the second half on their way to a loss. Missouri’s record now stands at 11-7, 1-3 in the SEC.
