LSU head coach Johnny Jones said his team has continued to grow throughout the season and looked forward to its game against South Carolina on Wednesday.
“I think this team has continued to have to grow through some tough trials that we’ve certainly been through,” Jones said.
The Tigers lost the last seven games and are trying to break the streak by focusing on their defense.
“We’ve got to try to do a much better job at containing the basketball,” Jones said. “We’re continuing to try to get better.”
The Tigers are 9-10 overall and 1-7 in SEC play. The No. 19 Gamecocks are 17-4 overall and 7-1 in SEC play.
The Tigers will host South Carolina in the PMAC on Wednesday at 8 p.m.
