According to ABC 33/40, 20-year-old University student Katie Keogh from Baton Rouge was hit by train in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
The ABC 33/40 report said Keogh was walking with several others in the 1400 block of 10th Avenue “when they attempted to beat a Norfolk Southern train.”
Medical personnel attempted CPR, but she was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to the report.
According to Keogh’s Facebook profile, she studied psychology at the University. She was a member of the Louisiana Beta Chapter of Pi Beta Phi Fraternity for Women and attended St. Joseph’s Academy in Baton Rouge
