The LSU Men’s Basketball game against Stephen F. Austin Friday, the Tigers lost 83-82 at home.
The Tigers faced problems with turnovers and SFA was able to capitalize on the mistakes and score.
SFA out rebound and outscored the Tigers from three-point range.
The biggest loss for the Tigers came in the final seconds when Freshmen Guard Tremont Waters passed the ball to Senior Forward Aaron Epps to win the game, but Epps missed.
“Tre passed the ball to me, I thought I made the layup but I missed” Epps said.
As the point guard for the Tigers Waters didn’t see the final seconds as one’s fault but his own.
“I don’t think it was Epp’s fault, that was definitely my fault as the key guy that coach looks to.” Waters said.
Based on how the Tigers started the game Head Coach Will Wade said that the Tigers didn’t deserve to win.
“We lost the game well before the last play, we didn’t deserve for that layup to go in,” Wade said.
The Tigers will have a chance to bounce back from the loss when they face Sam Houston State Dec. 19, 2017 in the PMAC.
