The San Diego Chargers have released wide receiver Demetrius Byrd.
Byrd was drafted by the Chargers in the seventh round of the 2009 NFL Draft.
Byrd missed the entire 2009-2010 season due to injuries sustained in a car accident weeks prior to the draft.
He played for LSU from 2007-2009.
