Students who attend the National L-Club Spring Game this Saturday at 3 p.m. will be entered into a drawing to win free season tickets for the 2010 football season.Tim Messa, assistant director of ticket operations, said students have a chance to win the tickets just by swiping their IDs at Tiger Stadium. Admission is free for full-time LSU students with a valid ID, and students must be present to win the tickets.”We’re going to draw a random lottery,” Messa said. “We haven’t settled on an exact number [of winners] yet.”Messa said students who are members of the Tiger Athletic Foundation Collegiate Club can enter their name in the drawing a second time by registering at the TAFCC table inside the stadium.”This is just an idea to try and get students excited about the spring game and boost student attendance for the spring game,” Messa said.Another inaugural event for the Spring Game will be its telecast on ESPN2. Melissa Hart, Student Government executive director of athletics, said SG is working to increase awareness of the Spring Game and the benefits of attending.”This is the first time we’re on ESPN2 for a spring game, so it would be a great opportunity to show other universities how big of a support group we have, even in the preseason,” Hart said. “It’s a great way to show the coaches, the administration and the players that LSU students are year-round fans.”Gates open Saturday at 1 p.m.—————Contact Rachel Whittaker at [email protected]
