The LSU women’s tennis team fell to No. 22 Ole Miss, 7-0, this afternoon in the first match of a doubleheader at W.T. “Dub” Robinson Stadium
LSU (3-9, 1-3 Southeastern Conference) got behind early when Ole Miss’ (8-2, 3-1 SEC) Kristi Boxx and Karen Nijssen, the No. 12 doubles team in the country, clinched the doubles point with an 8-3 victory against sophomore Whitney Wolf and freshman Kaitlin Burns.
The Lady Rebels closed the door in singles, posting straight-set victories across the board.
LSU takes on Southern at 5 p.m. in the second half of the doubleheader.
