Former LSU hurdler Lolo Jones set a new American record in the 60-meter hurdles at the 2010 IAAF World Championships in Doha, Quatar, winning the world title in the event for the second time in her distinguished career.
Jones broke the record previously set by track legend Gail Devers in 2003. Jones mark of 7.72 seconds bested Devers record by two hundredths of a second, and is now the third-fastest time ever run by a woman in the event.
Jones graduated from LSU in 2004 as a three-time national champion and 11-time All-American.
