Student Government announced rock band Shinedown, former Outkast member Big Boi and Battle of the Bands winner Prom Date will play Groovin’ on the Grounds March 20.
Melissa Guidry, SG director of student involvement, announced the lineup at noon in the Live Oak Lounge Monday with Students on Target members.
SG will pay $50,000 to Shinedown and $27,500 to Big Boi.
Biology sophomore Kayla Comeaux said Shinedown wouldn’t have been her first choice.
“[Shinedown} is not really or me but I do like that they chose Big Boi and Prom Date,” Comeaux said. “I think MGMT is a much more talented band personally. ”
