The Southeastern Conference rewarded two LSU track and field athletes for their performances at the LSU Tiger Relays last weekend.
The SEC named senior Samantha Henry the Female Runner of the Week and freshman Damar Forbes the Male Field Athlete of the Week on Tuesday.
Henry won the 100-meter dash at the LSU Tiger Relays in a time of 11.14 seconds, which ranks No. 1 in the SEC and No. 9 in the world.
Forbes set two personal bests with second places in the long jump and the triple jump. He ranks No. 1 in the nation in the triple jump and is tied for No. 3 in the long jump.
