LSU junior outfielder Leon Landry was named one of the Louisiana Sportswriters Association’s Baseball Players of the Week on Tuesday.
Landry was named Hitter of the Week after batting .538 last week with two triples, four RBI, five runs and a .588 on-base percentage.
Landry was just the 11th LSU player to hit two triples in one game Sunday when he knocked two of them in a win against Brown. Landry’s season average is .368.
Junior pitcher James Jones of Louisiana-Monroe was named the Pitcher of the Week.
