LSU sophomore second baseman Tyler Hanover was named one of the Louisiana Sportswriters Association’s Baseball Players of the Week on Tuesday.
Hanover was named the Hitter of the Week after notching a .533 batting average through four games last week. Hanover hit three doubles and tallied seven RBI while helping LSU to four-straight wins.
Louisiana Tech freshman pitcher Trevor Petersen was named the Pitcher of the Week after tossing 8.2 total innings of scoreless baseball for the Bulldogs in two games last week.
