March marks the celebration of Women’s History Month both nationally and at the University.
The theme of the 2010 Women’s History Month is “Writing Women Back Into History” and will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the National Women’s History Project, which lobbied Congress in 1987 to declare the month of March each year as the National Women’s History Month.
LSU will celebrate Women’s History Month with several events including the WHM Community Service Project, the Women in the Arts Gallery and the Women in the Performing Arts Night on Wednesday, March 3.
The celebration of Women’s History Month at the University is coordinated by the LSU Women’s Center.
