LSU’s leading returning scorer has been suspended.
LSU coach Trent Johnson suspended junior guard Bo Spencer indefinitely Monday, citing Spencer’s “lack of fulfillment to his responsibility to academics.”
“I’m not going to elaborate on it,” Johnson said. “I will tell you this: we’re in a situation right now where outside of him and a couple of other guys, we do pretty well in the classroom. He hasn’t met his academic responsibilities. Pretty short and simple.”
Johnson also said Spencer will not be eligible to participate in any team activities until he achieves his academic standards.
