More than 100 people gathered in the Lod Cook Conference Center for the first-ever Central Gulf of Mexico Hurricane Conference held by the University and The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.The conference began Tuesday and ended Wednesday and featured experts and officials from all levels, ranging from federal and state emergency managers to University officials.The discussions focused on key issues of concern in the preparation for the next hurricane season.
