LSU senior designated hitter Matt Gaudet has been named Louisiana Sportswriters Association Baseball Player of the Week, the LSWA announced Wednesday in a news release.
Gaudet went 6-for-10 against Centenary with two home runs and six RBIs in a three-game sweep of the Gents. His two home runs came in LSU’s 25-8 win Saturday.
Wil Browning of Louisiana-Monroe was named the LSWA Pitcher of the Week after earning a save against Ole Miss on Friday with 2 2/3 perfect innings of work.
