Legislative leaders decided to push back the decision to close the deal between the University’s Health Systems and Our Lady of the Lake Hospital.
The agreement would move the University’s graduate medical education program and in-patient hospital from Earl K. Long Medical Center in North Baton Rouge to OLOL. The move will require construction on OLOL’s Essen Lane campus and the creation of an urgent care center in North Baton Rouge.
Lawmakers said they needed more time to examine the facts before approving the deal.
Agreement with new educational hospital delayed – 11:43 a.m.
