University Chancellor Michael Martin will address topics and answer questions about the University’s future for the first Faculty Senate-Chancellor Forum of the spring semester.The “Battling Navigators and Shifting Winds: The Future of the Flagship” forum will address problems like budget cuts, sizing issues, decision-making processes, the future of management boards and other topics relating to the current economic times.”I encourage everyone to participate in the forum as we share frustrations and aspirations for LSU in light of contemporary realities,” said Martin in a Feb. 9 University news release. “We are continuing to seek ways to cope with serious resource constraints, protect our academic core, minimize adverse consequences for students, maintain our national rank and recognition as a Flagship university and minimize job loss.”The Faculty Senate-Chancellor Forum will be held today at 3:30 p.m. in the Bo Campbell Auditorium of the Cox Communications Center.
