LSU junior cornerback Patrick Peterson added to his accolades this season when he was named a finalist for the Lott Award, the football program announced through its Twitter account Friday afternoon.
The winner will be announced Dec. 12.
Earlier this week, Peterson was named a finalist for the Thorpe Award for the best defensive back in college football and the Bednarik Award for the most outstanding defensive player in college football.
LSU (10-1, 6-1) stands at No. 5 in the BCS standings and will take on Arkansas (9-2, 5-2) – No. 12 in the BCS – on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in Little Rock.
