LSU will be handing out 50,000 gold pom poms to fans at the LSU vs. Ole Miss football game Saturday afternoon in Tiger Stadium.
LSU Sports Information Director Michael Bonnette said Wednesday the cost of the pom poms is around $18,000.
LSU coach Les Miles was pleasantly surprised at the addition of the shakers.
“You mean we’re having pom poms at this game?” Miles said with a grin after his post-practice media gathering Wednesday night.
Kickoff for the Ole Miss game is at 2:30 p.m. on CBS.
