The Obama Administration will soon lift its controversial off-shore drilling moratorium, according to wire reports.
The administration says the ban, imposed in the wake of the BP oil spill, would prevent other disasters while regulators figure out what went wrong with the sunken rig.
The moratorium has elicited harsh criticism from the oil industry and many Louisiana politicians, who say the halt in work is damaging the region’s economy and causing job loss.
