Voodoo Experience 2010 has finally arrived and is sure to impress attendees with acts like the prince of darkness Ozzy Osbourne and MGMT, but Deadmau5 will be the apple of my eye at this year’s festival.
Deadmau5, pronounced “dead mouse,” is the stage name of the progressive and electro house producer Joel Zimmerman and will be the conductor of what, I think, may be the best show at Voodoo. His show is scheduled between MGMT and My Morning Jacket on Sunday at 6:15 p.m.
Deadmau5 has two albums, “Random Album Title” and “For Lack of a Better Name,” and is known for his out-of-this-world light-shows and contagiously catchy beats. Though, he may be best known for performing while wearing a costume depicting a dead mouse including a LCD comical mouse head.
Deadmau5 performed at Coachella and Bonnaroo this year and was said to be one of the most fun shows on “the farm.” If you’re having trouble deciding on what acts to see at Voodoo this year, grab your body paint and glow sticks, prepare yourself for a dancing extravaganza and enjoy Deadmau5.
