LSU finally saw some movement in this week’s pollsl after lingering just outside the nation’s top 10.
The Tigers (6-0, 4-0) jumped three spots to No. 9 in both the Associated Press and USA Today polls after a heart-stopping 33-29 win against Florida on Saturday night.
LSU downed the Gators, who dropped from No. 14 to No. 22 following the loss, on a three-yard fade route from junior quarterback Jarrett Lee to senior wide receiver Terrence Toliver with six seconds remaining.
Elsewhere in the Southeastern Conference, No. 1 Alabama had its 19-game winning streak snapped by South Carolina. The Gamecocks jumped to No. 10 after their first win against a No. 1 team. The Crimson Tide fell to No. 8 after their first regular season loss since 2007.
