LSU junior running back Stevan Ridley was named Southeastern Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Monday morning for his 123-yard rushing performance against Tennessee.
One of those yards was hard-earned with no time left on the clock, as he pushed through a pile of defenders for a 1-yard touchdown that sealed LSU’s fifth win, 16-14, against the Volunteers.
Ridley now leads the SEC in rushing with 111 yards per game, an average of 5.7 yards per carry. He has racked up 557 total yards on the ground this season.
Ridley’s honor marks the sixth SEC Player of the Week recognition by an LSU player this season.
