The University will release its plan to prepare for a $62 million budget cut later today as part of an exercise mandated by the state.
The original three-level exercise was to accommodate a 23 percent budget reduction, but today’s projections will account for a 32 percent budget reduction.
“My goal is to provide the community with information that will be helpful in understanding and dealing with this crisis. I do not want to increase concern or anxiety, but the State Division of Administration has mandated this report, leaving us no choice but to comply,” Chancellor Michael Martin said in a broadcast e-mail.
