Former LSU tight end Mickey Mangham, 71, died Thursday morning.
Mangham, most known for catching LSU’s only touchdown in the 1959 Sugar Bowl, was a former Academic All-America and All-Southeastern conference tight end.
Mangham caught the game winning pass from former Tiger running back and Heisman winner Billy Cannon, vaulting LSU to a 7-0 victory and the 1959 national championship.
