University of North Carolina spokesman Kevin Best confirmed Friday three more starters — linebackers Quan Sturdivant and Bruce Carter and safety Deunta Williams — did not fly to Atlanta with the Tar Heels.
The trio’s absence means North Carolina will be without 15 players for Saturday’s game against LSU.
