The Southeastern Conference announced Monday that LSU junior cornerback Patrick Peterson was named its Special Teams Player of the Week. The award is Peterson’s second of the season.
Peterson returned a punt 60 yards for a touchdown in LSU’s 20-14 win Saturday against West Virginia. The touchdown return was Peterson’s second of the season, his first coming on a 87-yarder against North Carolina.
Peterson is the first Tiger to nab the award twice since Skyler Green in 2003.
