The LSU football team broke into the top 10 in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches’ Poll Sunday following its 20-14 victory over West Virginia Saturday night in Tiger Stadium.
The Tigers (4-0, 2-0) clocked in at No. 10 in the poll, while the Mountaineers — who entered Saturday’s matchup No. 21 in poll — fell out of the Top 25. LSU jumped from No. 15 to No. 12 in the AP poll.
LSU is one of five Southeastern Conference teams to be ranked, along with No. 1 Alabama, No. 7 Florida, No. 11 Auburn, No. 15 Arkansas and No. 22 South Carolina.
