Sophomore fullback Dominique Allen has left the LSU football team, according to LSU Sports Information Director Michael Bonnette.
“He’s no longer in school or on the team,” Bonnette said.
Allen was suspended from the team in July for violating team rules.
The Paris, Tenn., native was expected to be the starting fullback entering the 2010 season, but his suspension and now departure from the team has left the Tigers searching for a fullback.
Walk-ons James Stampley and Richard Dugas are the top two contenders for the job.
