LSU junior pitcher Austin Ross has agreed to a contract with the Milwaukee Brewers, according to The Advocate.
Ross was drafted in the eighth round of last week’s Major League Baseball draft.
The Shreveport native finished the season with a 5-4 record and a 5.22 ERA with 98 strikeouts in 88 innings.
Junior pitcher Anthony Ranaudo was picked with the 39th overall pick by the Boston Red Sox.
Ranaudo has yet to agree to a deal.
The Tigers will rely on the arms of Chris Matulis, Joey Bourgeois, Jordan Rittiner, Daniel Bradshaw and Ben Alsup to vie for starting roles next season.
