A plastic beaker overheated and melted in one of the labs in Choppin Hall on Tuesday, causing smoke, according to LSU Media Relations Director Ernie Ballard.
There were no flames or injuries reported, according to Ballard. The fire department is currently removing the smoke out of the building.
