The University’s main water pipe ruptured, causing low water pressure and toilets being unable to flush properly campus-wide, according to LSU Facility Services.
As a result of this infrastructure issue, The 5 dining hall will be closed on Monday, according to an email from LSU Res Life. The 459 and all other campus dining options will remain open during normal hours.
LSU Facility Services immediately responded and is actively working to repair the rupture and restore water pressure to campus buildings, according to LSU Media Relations Director Ernie Ballard. Ballard said the University anticipates the 5 being reopened on Tuesday.
Updates will be provided on LSU Dining’s Website and through Residential Life’s social media channels.
