In the first inning of LSU softball’s game against Florida Atlantic, sophomore Sydney Springfield knocked out a grand slam, which gave the Tigers an early 4-0 lead.
“It was a game changer,” Springfield said. “It’s awesome to do whatever it takes to win for your team.”
LSU went on to defeat FAU 5-1 on Sunday, March 4th. The Tigers improved their overall record to 19-2 for the season.
LSU will host the Auburn Tigers on Friday, March 9th at 6 p.m. in Tiger Park.
