Hawaii defeated LSU at the Box 2-4 on Friday night in the first game of the three-game weekend series vs the rainbow warriors.
Starting pitcher Zack Watson threw nine strikeouts through seven innings. Zach Watson gave up 3 home runs to the rainbow warriors before being pulled in the seventh inning.
LSU’s offense produced 10 hits while only scoring 2 runs from Hunter Feduccia and Zach Watson. Hawaii had eight hits with 3 single home runs.
LSU’s next game is Saturday vs Hawaii in game two of the three-game series against the rainbow warriors, at the Box.
