LSU junior all-arounder Lexie Priessman was named the Southeastern Conference Specialist of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.
Priessman, who earns her second weekly honor of the season, posted a 9.975 to tie her career high on bars in LSU’s 197.575-196.100 win over NC State. She is ranked seventh in the nation on the event.
Priessman helped the Tigers total a 49.575 bars score, which is the fifth-highest in school history. Only four teams have scored 49.575 or higher on bars this season, and LSU has done it three times.
LSU gymnasts have now combined for 13 SEC weekly honors, as junior Sarah Finnegan, senior Myia Hambrick and sophomore Kennedi Edney have all been named gymnast of the week.
Sami Durante and Christina Desiderio have both been named freshman of the week, while senior Erin Macadaeg joins Priessman as the only other Tigers to be named specialist of the week.
LSU (14-1, 7-0 SEC) returns home on Saturday to face Arizona for the regular season finale.
